February 2010 - HK Metalcraft welcomes Dennis Howard to our team as our new Quality Control Manager
Dennis Howard is our recent addition to the HK team. He has joined us as our new Quality Manager. Dennis brings a rich background of experience in both Quality and Manufacturing. Dennis will be maintaining HK's current certifications of ISO/TS 16949:2009 and ISO9001:2008. He will also play a key part in maintaining our high level of quality through the use of APQP, Statistical controls, Product Process Enhancements and Early Supplier Involvement. Dennis will also play a major role in HK 's continuing evolvement of our Quality Management Systems. Our customers should not hesitate to contact Dennis with any questions that they may have pertaining to HK's Product Quality.

June 2009
HK Metalcraft will be starting Summer Hours on June 8th 2009. We will be open for business Monday-Thursday, 6:30 am - 5 pm. Fridays we will be closed. Our loading dock will be open to receive or send shipments between 7:00 am - 4:00 pm. Customer Service will be taking calls between 6:30 am and 4:45 pm.

New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (DOL&WD) visits HK Metalcraft and officials presents the SHARP (Safety Health Achievement Reward Program) award. HK employees were treated to a luncheon in honor of receiving the award.

HK Metalcraft received Delphi's prestigious Pinnacle Award For Supplier Excellence. The award recognizes a premier group of Delphi's suppliers for their commitment to and achievement of Quality, Value, and Cost performance.
The criteria for winning The Pinnacle Award is:
• Supplier for at least one year
• Green 12 month average quality score on the Delphi Supplier Scorecard;
• Zero Major Disruptions, zero Repeat Problems, and single digit PPM;
• Zero Customer Impacts for quality;
• Zero parts on Controlled Shipping;
• Green indicator for ISO/TS16949 certification on the compliance section of the Delphi
Supplier Scorecard;
• Registered for the Problem Solver system and have an active supplier receiver;
• Greater than five parts or greater than US $500K Annual Purchase Value;
• Meets category savings objectives; no commercial issues
• Meets requirements as identified in the Delphi customer specific requirements;
• Supports Delphi position on social responsibility;
• Acceptable warranty performance;
• Acceptable delivery performance and no ship threats;
• No current quality / contract issues.

HK Metalcraft recieved New Jersey's Environmental Stewardship Award for 2009.

With the help of NJMEP, HK Metalcraft is greatly reducing our set up times by embracing the latest Quick Die Change procedures.
January 2009
HK Metalcraft began extensive training with NJMEP using our Customized Training Grant from the State of New Jersey. Our first sessions will include expanding our company-wide 5S Program.

December 2008
HK Metalcraft has shipped over 170 million pieces in the past 13 months without a customer reject.
Our facility will be shut down for the holiday season from December 24th, 2008 at noon and re-open on January 5th, 2009.
November 2008
HK Metalcraft is celebrating a historic milestone; we shipped over 150 million pieces during the past 12 months with zero customer rejects. Our employees were treated to a special breakfast for all their hard work and dillegence allowing us to reach this milestone.
October 2008
HK Metalcraft received a Customized Training Grant from the State of New Jersey. Over the next several months HK will receive training in Workplace Organization and Standardization, and Lean Manufacturing
September 2008
President and CEO Raymond Hopp attended the ICOSPA (International Congress of Sheet Metal Presswork Associations) in Grand Rapids, MI. Delegates from China, Germany, Japan, Italy, England, France and the United States discussed the world economic situation, trends in metal forming, and tactics for becoming more efficient. John Snow (Former Secretary of Treasury) and Jack Perkowski (President and CEO of ASIMCO) were the featured speakers for the event.
HK Metalcraft was awarded OSHA's SHARP (Safety Health Achievement Reward Program) recognition. We among the 1% of businesses in New Jersey that have this recognition.

HK Metacraft's employees celebrated 9 months without any customer rejects with a gourmet luncheon from one of our local delis.

HK Metalcraft passed its TS Quality Audit and continues to operate a Quality Management System which complies with the requirements for ISO/TS 16949-2002 and ISO 9001-2000
